Walking onto the bus this morning attracted some attraction toward what it was I was carrying with me and why I was dressy. Last night after Rehearsal ended at 9pm I went out to get a bite to eat at Mcdonalds and went to the unimart grab something for today's lunch with the Orchestra. When I came back home I stuffed them into my bookbag to put in the band room today. There was cake, pretzels, 15 boxes of pizza, and loads of other things. I brought chips. Now, how exciting are they? not that exciting i would think but some 6th and 7th grders. thought otherwise. So this morning I had to take them out cause it wouldnt fit in my bookbag along with my bunny. That's how they saw it along with my smoothie in my side pocket. One kid grabbed the smoothie while the other took the chips! Diving for my smoothie of course, it's out of my reach by like an inch! The busdriver then looks back giving us this glare. Got my delicious food back right away after that! Arriving at school heading up to miss. Reimer's room for her good mornings another 7th grder runs in trying to grab them from me and luckily I'm just a little bit taller!
Anyway, 15min. later I'm heading down to the auditoriam to start getting prepared for the Judication Festival for strings. You must understand this really isn't a contest, its just schools getting together to listen to eachother play and watch their performance while be jugded by real judges. nothing really big. By 9:10 I was out in the lobby waiting for my school to arrive so i could direct them into the auditoriam and take the scores from the instructor for the judges. We were the first school up to play and I personaly think we screwed it up majorily! Mrs. Wentz, messed us all up at the end of the last piece! she brought us in 2 measures early! and she wonders why we rarely follow her conducting! ;) We love ya though mrs. Wentz! Overall Good Hope, Gettysburg school and us, Allen, did the best! go us!! Oh! and for one of the schools there was this girl that was an outside chair and her legs were crossed and she wasn't sitting on the edge of her seat!!! I just wanted to walk up there and uncross her legs and put her in the right positition! it was really bothering me but I didn't say anything unlike the teachers beside me commenting on it! :P
A total of eight schools were there and it didn't start until 9:30ish. Ending around 12:25 we were already late getting the schools back to their own school so we could go eat some food! after putting getting messy with the icecream and being asked a guzzilion questions by these two boys about ealier during the performance. We then had to clear the stage for the musical practice later on. We played with all the percussion stuff and almost got driven off the stage by the chair and stand racks too!
