To start this blog entry off I would like to comment on my very dear Dolly's blog. I would have commented on her blog but it seems to not like me very much tonight. Dolly you WILL go VERY far with your voice. On or off stage as someone else had said. Try not to focus soo much on all these things like tonal focus and such. If you really want to do it, one at a time would help a lot! One step at a time my dear! you are not this oh so magnificent magician who can do anything! although, sometimes i wonder!! You Definitely have a future in this and many other things as well. But this, your voice, is a gift! You have major skill and you know it! And if you plan on singing places you need to come home first and sing for us! Seriously! so, I'm gonna third that! Loving your rainbow face! you need to put that on me one day! Very hott dude! ;)
As I wanted to say ealier, I had a rehearsal at 7pm. with four other schools, well parts of schools who qualified.
At first I didn't think I would be going. When 6:30 came around I was flipping out. My mom hadn't come home yet and I had to leave in 15 minutes. For that next 15 minutes I called every person who either lived near by or would maybe know where my mother dearest would be. Well, I didn't get to rehearsal until about 7:20 and my mom just walked in the door at 7 o'clock sharp. I swear she wanted me to kill her!! Tonight was a big night for me because I would be meeting bunches upon bunches of people and working with a different conductor for the first time. It was quite an experience!! But you should have seen me when my mom walked in the door! maybe.. Actually you might have not wanted to see me right then but now that I think about it it was rediculous. I was telling my mom off to no end! "where the heck have you been?!?! you knew I had rehearsal tonight at 7!! If i don't attend the first meet i'm cut from the program! Now because of your irresponsibility I can't be in the Judication!! It's all your fault!! You know how much this means to me!!" then stomped back into my room and slammed the door (broke it too...) and sat on my bad and groaned for the next few minute while i hear my mom tell me how i shouldn't have been all up in her face as soon as she got to the door. Literally.. she didn't even step in the door yet when I started to flip on her. I knew then though that i really didn't approach this in a positive manner at all. I am really suprised that I didn't get in major trouble for talking to her the way I did.
Anywho, Mrs. drayer our new conductor to some of us, was very fun. Mrs. Wentz, whom I had for the last three years didn't compare to Mrs. Drayer. Completely two different people in every way! But they are both very nice and funny. After all the practicing Allen's orchestra had gone through, it really paid off tonight. Symphony #7 by Motzart ( i think) is soo fast it blew my mind! We heard it played by proffessionals and wow!!! I never thought I could or would play so fast in my life!! While Mrs. Wentz was down in the audience, the very small audience at that, I'm looking at her in shock, and she could read my mind. She knew I thought I would never be able to play this fast and as fast as Mrs. Drayer was conducting! You know what?? I did it!! and made maybe two mistakes out of the whole piece, not considering bowing. That i still need to work on a little bit. And then, what a suprise i was in for! Next piece: You Raise me up by Josh Groban! my favorite! Mrs. Wentz conducts this piece and she found a CD!! less work for me!!! She played it for us but The orchestra didn't react as I thought they would. they didn't take this man or the words very seriously at all. maybe they still need the music video.. I don't know. But these people do not know a real singer when they hear one. I mean like, Josh Groban is pretty good to me. I mean not the absolute best but I think he's fairly good. On all the pieces we played we didn't sound as one. We were all our own. so to speak I guess.. So we need to mainly work on being 'one' and bowing pretty much. other than that I think we have everything else. Mrs. Wentz says we have to sound like one not 50 or so.. We didn't get seats yet either but where I sat tonight was pretty much perfect. Mrs. Wentz put me there just for tonight. I am the second Allen player in the 3rd row out of like 6 i think.. So I'm feeling pretty good about myself right now!! :D Peace out! Love my grls!

Keep playing beautiful! We'll play a song together in concert someday, like Celine Dion did in the song "I'll be waiting for you". It will be really hot!
