(One o’clock, on a Sunday afternoon, a strawberry crème frapaccino (caffeine free) in my right hand, Chris’ hand in the other and Robby on the same side as my frapaccino)

The Thai Funeral took place in Maryland, Everly-Wheatley Funeral home I think it was, Soon after I arrived, the ceremony began. The first part of the ceremony was to put a Red rose with something attached to it on my grams by me. After that, the ceremony officially started. Most of everything was in Thai with the exception of maybe a paragraph or two in English. One of the leaders briefly, very briefly, made a summary of what happened or was going to happen at the time. She basically said there will be several brief individual ceremonies. Everything else was in Thai; alas I didn’t understand anything that was said after the brief summary in the beginning. I will hopefully have a chance to load up a whole bunch of pictures this coming weekend as I will HOPEFULLY be back in Maryland for another ceremony that is part of the Buddhist religion. So the ceremony isn’t really over. From what I looked at it lasts for 49 days.

In one of the chants they did this is probably something they said:
"Even the gorgeous royal chariots wear out; and indeed this body too wears out. But the teaching of goodness does not age; and so Goodness makes that known to the good ones."
