My summary. What do u think?

A window Across the River
Brian Morton

A Window across the River, a romance book, is about two people who haven’t seen nor talked to each other for about five years now. Nora one of the main characters kept on thinking of Isaac. He would appear in her dreams and things he had said in the past would pop into her thoughts; and sometimes while she was in a book store she would drift off to the photography section, what Isaac did for a living.

Every couple of months Nora would pick up the phone wanting to call Isaac but then would put the phone back on the hook. She wasn’t quite sure why they lost touch but for what ever reason she hasn’t talked to him since.

It all began with her picking up the phone that one night and called Isaac at midnight. When Isaac answered the phone, sleepily, he said Nora? Is that you? She didn’t answer. In the years before, they would sleep on the phone together. They could exchange thoughts without saying a word aloud. Five years have gone by and now and he knew right away who it was. Nora finally answered and then the story begins.

Nora Howard is a story writer who has had trouble composing pieces because they would always end up hurting someone she loved. Isaac the photographer and her love wants the relationship to work. The question is will they be able to live together without sacrificing their work.

Their uncovered love was keeping them alive. Nora was soon on her way to her best work but then she realizes who it’s about. It turned into a betrayal of Isaac revealing his failures. She was planning on entering it into a contest. She knew that she would have to show him the story hoping that it wouldn’t change the love they had shared with each other. In the past she had hurt many people she loved and caused them to “hate” her. How will they stay in love after revealing the worst of each other?

“A funny, precise and beautifully written novel. Morton’s intelligence shimmers. His perceptions of the conflicts within the human heart are keen. I loved this book”
--Alice Sebold, author of THE LOVELY BONES
