What a weekend

Friday night I left With Shelby for the Lock-in with her youth group. It went pretty well actually! We stayed in the gym for a while and played basketball, hockey, soccer, knock out, and all sorts of stuff. when it came time for worship we made a really big circle and discussed our friendship and how our friendship with friend and God are alike and different. we had to hunt for cards in the church. What was inside the cards were things that we do with our friends. We went around the circle saying one thing for each item and how it relates to our friends. after that we related it with God and our relationship with him. Then we read some scripture, 33 verses. I don't quite remember where it was in the bible though..sigh.. I didn't have my bible handy in the Gymnasium.. After that we played a game where we had to take all 66 books of the bible and put them in order. we had to say how many were in the old an new. What memory i had!! i couldn't remember!! I guess i'm going to have to work on that.. in my group I was one of the only girls that could remember most of them though! so that was an accomplishment!!:D It was girls against guys and the guys won.. They beat us by like 30 sec. We were trying to figure our where Daniel and Habakkuk went.. over all we had like 4 misplaced and they were all in the old testiment. Pretty good memory don't you think?

After that we had a closing prayer and thanked God for the wonderful evening. Later on, we had pizza and snacks. There were brownies there too. They weren't nearly as good as Phil's but.. it was chocolate! trying to gain a little weight here!! ;) so after that one of the new friends i made brought out her guitar.. which she couldn't play but her other friend could. I figured out how to play two songs, one was As the deer and I can't quite remember the other. I remember!! Jolly old St. Nicholas! I figured out how to play the two of them just by ear!! Very proud of myself!! i found some talent! Never really touched a guitar long enough to play a note but after i was told where one note was i could find my way around the fingerboard pretty easily. it was quite thrilling! I learned a little bit about the guitar in music class and how to hold it but that was it. from there i was on my own! I feel very talented!! I love the guitar! Almost as much as the cello and violin! oh and Dolly's voice if that counts! :D :D

So anyway, we all slept in one room and we couldn't go outside for anything but anything. Duh! lol I made a couple of friends too!! before bed i braded like 6 girls hair!! I have never really did any braiding on any one elses hair but my own. I felt soo much like Dolly!! I braided girls' hair and read a little bit of the Notebook then read the bible before i went to bed and then did my own hair in braids. Then I felt like i was taking care of the girls when i said g'night to them individually and made sure they were all set for bed and so on... Really made me feel like Doll! :) from camp anyway. The girls really liked me! i felt special!! :D I got a chance to rub one of the leader's backs.. She hurt her foot or something and was wearing a cast so she was on crutches and her back hurt a bit, i could tell. So i told her to sit and i'd rub her back a little bit I made sure was alright and she was taking it easy, not letting her do anything that involved a lot of effert.

In the morning I read the bible and woke people up for breakfast after Liz woke up everyone by singing at 7:10 am!! we ate breakfast and started to get our stuff ready to leave since it was already snowing outside and it had layed about 2 in. we had to be out of there by 10 before the storm was going to hit. After we packed I helped to pick up a little bit and cleaned up the bathroom. It was nice! When we came back to Shelby's house we sat and did nothing for about an hour and then i decided i wanted to go to my dad's since he was like not even a min. away from shell's. He came and picked me up and I slept and ate the rest of the day. After sundown i watched ms. Congeniality at 10pm and wat up till 1am this morning. My mom came to pick me up at 9 and we came home as soon as possible. Got home went through the routine and then there was an uh-oh.. my msn wasn't working! Dolly had'nt updated her blog and i didn't know if she got her internet back. I actually didn't worry! found out there was something wrong with msn's server and all was well by 5pm. it's all good. I also found out that Andi got 2nd degree frostbite all over her legs and face. She said its not that painful any more. :) So Andi is ok. The only question is how is Dolly doing? Thought of her all night on fri. and prayed that she'd find her phone and she was safe considering i havent seen a new blog for a few days nor have i heard from her. The weekend was fun!! and i only thought about the bill a couple of times after Shelby yelled at me like 6 times!
